Abstract

Rice plants are a staple food source that is very important for efforts to maintain food security. Indonesian rice production still faces challenges due to decreasing harvested areas and increasing consumption needs. Efforts to increase productivity are through the utilization of local West Aceh rice, which has superior adaptation to various specific environmental stresses. This study aimed to obtain information on the quantitative characteristics of local West Aceh rice varieties: Ramu, Rasi Kubang, Po'k, and Aguk. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar University, West Aceh Regency (4008'33"N; 96011'54"E) from January to June 2025. The research design was a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with three replications and five genotypes (Ramu, Rasi Kubang, Po'k, Aguk, and Inpari 32). The parameters observed included various quantitative characteristics of plant growth and yield. The research data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further tested at a significance level of 5%. The indices were selected based on weighting. The results showed that the local West Aceh rice genotypes had a significant influence on most of the observed characters. The highest productivity was obtained by the Rasi Kubang genotype (4.58 tons/ha), followed by Aguk, Ramu, and Po'k, which were higher than Inpari 32 (2.96 tons/ha). The results of the index selection showed that the Po'k genotype had the highest index value (2.15), followed by Rasi Kubang (2.03), Aguk (1.78), and Ramu (1.69), while Inpari 32 had the lowest index value (-7.65).
